  • ¾ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 1 ½ teaspoons vanilla
  • 2 ¼ cups whole or reduced-fat (2%) milk
  • 12 3/4-inch-thick slices French bread
  • ¼ cup butter
  • + 3 more ingredients

    • 1/3 cup maple syrup
