Ingredients

  • 3 ¾ cups powdered sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • ¼ cup plus 2 Tbsp. whipping cream
  • 2 cups firmly packed dark brown sugar
  • 1 cup unsalted butter

Melt butter in a 3-qt. saucepan over medium heat. Add brown sugar; bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Stir in whipping cream and vanilla; bring to a boil. Remove from heat, and let cool 1 hour.
