Whole-Wheat Almond Butter Cookies


  • 1 ¼ cups whole-wheat pastry flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon fine sea salt
  • 2/3 cup almond butter
  • ¾ cup brown sugar, plus 2 teaspoons, divided
  • ¼ cup unsweetnted coconut milk or almond milk
  • 2 teaspoons grated fresh ginger
