Wild Rice with Carrots

Ingredients

  • 1 small onion
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup wild rice
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 carrots

Bring all ingredients to a boil in a 2- to 3-quart saucepan, then simmer, covered, until rice is tender and liquid is absorbed, 50 minutes to 1 hour.
