Ingredients

  • 1 ¾ pounds halibut, cut into 5x3/4-inch strips
  • 1 cup dark beer
  • ¼ cup ketchup
  • ¼ cup crema mexicana
  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • ¼ cup mayonnaise
  • Lime wedges
  • + 8 more ingredients
    • Bottled hot pepper sauce
    • 2 large tomatoes
    • 1 ½ cups red cabbage
    • Vegetable oil
    • 12 white corn tortillas
    • 1 lime
    • ½ teaspoon ground pepper
    • 1 teaspoon sea salt

Mix all ingredients in bowl; season with salt and pepper. Whisk flour, salt, and pepper in bowl; pour in beer, whisking until batter is smooth. Let stand 15 minutes.
