Samak Tarator (Poached Fish with Pine Nut Sauce)

Ingredients

  • 2 (1-ounce) slices white bread, crusts removed
  • 3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 2 cups water
  • 6 (6-ounce) salmon fillets (about 1 inch thick)
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 3 tablespoons clam juice
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • + 6 more ingredients
    • Fish:
    • 1/8 teaspoon white pepper
    • ½ cup pine nuts
    • Sauce:
    • 1 garlic clove, crushed
    • 1 cup water

To prepare fish, bring 2 cups water to a boil in a large skillet. Add 1/4 teaspoon salt and fish.
