Creole Jambalaya

Ingredients

  • 4 cups water
  • ½ pound chaurice (hot sausage)
  • 3 cups rice
  • ½ cup green pepper
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 teaspoon garlic
  • 1 tablespoon parsley
  • + 8 more ingredients
    • ½ teaspoon paprika
    • 1 teaspoon salt
    • 1 pound shrimp (peeled and deveined)
    • ½ pound smoked sausage
    • 1 pound smoked ham
    • ¼ cup green onions
    • 1 teaspoon ground thyme
    • 1 cup onions

Place ham, sausages, and onions in 3-quart saucepan. Cover and cook over medium heat until onions are soft. No need to add any oil as the meat will provide enough fat for cooking.
