Grilled Brined Shrimp with Garlic Oil

Ingredients

  • 1 cup dry white wine
  • 6 Turkish bay leaves
  • 2 lemons
  • ½ teaspoon whole black peppercorns
  • ¾ cup extra-virgin olive oil
  • 8 cups water
  • 1 ciabatta bread
  • + 3 more ingredients
    • 1/3 cup coarse kosher salt
    • 2 pounds uncooked large shrimp with shells
    • 4 garlic cloves

Stir 1 cup ice water and 1/3 cup salt in small saucepan over high heat until salt dissolves, about 5 minutes. Transfer salt water to large bowl.
