Shrimp and Andouille Grits

Ingredients

  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup cheddar, grated
  • 2 tablespoon butter
  • 1 handful parsley, chopped
  • 3 green onions, sliced
  • ¼ cup heavy cream
  • salt and pepper to taste

    • 1 tomato, diced
    • 1 cup chicken broth
    • 1 tablespoon cajun seasoning
    • ½ teaspoon thyme, chopped
    • 2 cloves garlic, chopped
    • 2 stalks celery, diced
    • ½ red bell pepper, diced
    • ½ green bell pepper, diced
    • 1 onion, diced
    • 1 tablespoon oil
    • ½ pound shrimp, peeled and deviened
    • 1 tablespoon cajun seasoning
    • ½ pound andouille sausage, cit into small pieces
    • 1 tablespoon oil
    • 1 cup grits/cornmeal
    • 4 cups water
