Shrimp and Sesame Sticks with Apricot Dipping Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds, toasted
  • 1 large egg
  • 10 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 12 17- by 12-inch phyllo sheets
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1 ½ teaspoons fresh ginger
  • + 7 more ingredients
    • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
    • 1 tablespoon Asian sesame oil
    • 3 scallions
    • 1 1/3 pounds shrimp, shelled and deveined
    • ¼ cup sesame seeds, toasted
    • apricot dipping sauce
    • Kosher salt
