Spicy Shrimp and Bell Pepper Stew with Cumin and Oregano

Ingredients

  • 2 cups chopped onions
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • ¼ cup water
  • 1 1/3 cups dry white wine
  • 2/3 cup tomato paste
  • 1 bay leaf
  • ½ teaspoon dried crushed red pepper
  • + 8 more ingredients
    • 4 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
    • ½ green bell pepper, cut into matchstick-size strips (about ½ cup)
    • ½ red bell pepper, cut into matchstick-size strips (about ½ cup)
    • ¾ teaspoon ground cumin
    • ¾ teaspoon dried oregano
    • 6 garlic cloves, minced
    • 3 tablespoons fresh lime juice
    • 1 ½ pounds uncooked large shrimp, peeled, deveined
