Tomato Shrimp Scampi With Fettuccine

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces fettuccine pasta
  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 2 cups plum tomatoes
  • ½ cup vermouth or white cooking wine
  • ¼ cup lemon juice
  • ½ teaspoon sugar
  • + 5 more ingredients
    • 4 scallions
    • 1 pound shrimp -- peeled and deveined, rinsed, patted dry
    • 1/8 teaspoon red pepper flakes
    • 4 tablespoons basil
    • 4 tablespoons Parmesan cheese
