Baked Gruyere and Sausage Omelet

Ingredients

  • ¼ cup plus 2 tablespoons chopped fresh flat-leaf parsley
  • 1 ½ cups (4 ounces) grated Gruyere cheese
  • 1 red bell pepper, diced
  • Freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/3 cup whole milk
  • 8 large eggs
  • + 4 more ingredients
    • ½ pound mild turkey sausage, casings removed
    • 1 small onion, diced
    • 2 tablespoons olive oil
    • Butter, for greasing baking dish

1. Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F. Lightly butter an 8 by 8-inch baking dish.
