  • 1 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1 turkey (18 to 20 lbs.), thawed if frozen
  • 2 large onions, peeled and quartered lengthwise
  • 1 tablespoon coarsely chopped ginger
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon coarsely chopped garlic
  • 2 tablespoons light brown or turbinado sugar
  • + 4 more ingredients
    • 4 tablespoons minced garlic
    • 4 tablespoons minced ginger
    • 4 cups soy sauce
    • 6 cups hickory chips
