Turkey Sweet Potato Shepherd's Pie

Ingredients

  • 4 celery stalks
  • 1 (10-ounce) box frozen peas
  • freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 pounds ground turkey or chopped leftover turkey
  • few dashes of hot sauce
  • 2 ½ pounds sweet potatoes
  • 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
  • + 10 more ingredients
    • 2 teaspoons poultry seasoning
    • 2 cups sharp yellow cheddar, shredded
    • 2 carrots
    • salt
    • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
    • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
    • 1 banana
    • few dashes of Worcestershire sauce
    • 2 cups turkey or chicken stock
    • 1 onion

Preheat the oven to 425°F. In a deep ovenproof skillet or a Dutch oven, heat the EVOO over high heat.
