Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups Sauternes or other sweet white wine
  • 1 cup dried cranberries
  • 14 cups crustless firm white bread
  • 1 ½ cups dried apricots
  • 1 tablespoon fresh sage
  • 1 cup pecans
  • 1 ½ cups celery
  • + 7 more ingredients
    • 12 tablespoons butter
    • ¾ teaspoon ground cinnamon
    • 1 ½ cups pitted prunes
    • 4 cups onions
    • 2 tablespoons fresh rosemary
    • 2 large Anjou pears
    • 1 tablespoon sugar

Melt 2 tablespoons butter in large skillet over medium-high heat. Add pears; sprinkle with sugar. Sauté until pears are golden, about 5 minutes. Transfer to very large bowl; mix in cinnamon.
