Pasta with Turkey Sausage, Tomatoes and Mozzarella


  • 2 T olive oil
  • 1 garlic clove, crushed
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 (14 1/2 ounce) cans whole peeled tomatoes with juice, broken up with spoon
  • 1 lb Italian turkey sausage, cut into 1/2-inch slices
  • ¼ t dried red pepper flakes
  • 1 lb penne
  • + 2 more ingredients
    • 8 oz smoked mozzarella cheese, cut into 1/2-inch cubes
    • ¼ c Parmesan cheese, freshly grated
