  • 1 2-qt glass measuring cup
  • 2 small metal skewers
  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • 8 cups turkey stock
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 16-lb turkey, neck and giblets removed
