Turkey Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 cup chicken broth or more as needed
  • 1 beaten egg or egg substitute
  • 1 stick butter or margarine, melted
  • ¼ teaspoon pepper
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried marjoram
  • + 14 more ingredients
    • 1 teaspoon dried sage
    • ½ cup chopped fresh parsley leaves
    • 1 loaf dried white bread cubed or 1 (12 ounce) package herbed stuffing cubes
    • 1 ½ cups chopped celery
    • 1 ½ cups chopped onion
    • 2 tablespoons butter or margarine
    • 1 pound Granny Smith apples, cored, peeled and chopped
    • 1 pound bulk Italian or pork sausage
    • Apple, Sausage and Herb Dressing, recipe follows
    • 1 sheet aluminum foil, for tent
    • Freshly ground pepper
    • Kosher salt
    • 1 cup olive oil
    • 1 (12 to 14 pound) turkey
